The $1K Investor Book

The $1K Investor by Debbie Sassen
Clear and easy to read. Makes learning about finance fun!

I found the $1K Investor an interesting and informative read that gave me the basics of investing in clear and easy to understand language. I finally “got” so many things about the finance world that seemed so difficult for me to fully understand before. I recommend it for anyone who is looking to begin the process of investing yet doesn’t know how or where to begin.

Kay, Amazon Review

Simple, smart investing is the number one way to achieve long-term financial success. And fortunately, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist or have a lot of money to get going.

But the problem is that most people were never educated on how to properly understand and manage their money. They think it’s complex and you need to be good with math to manage money on your own.

So, they push it off.

Taking care of your finances and building a cushion for your future self rarely seem to make it to the top of the to-do list. Especially when there are kids to care for, home repairs, and other bills to pay.

And to be honest, I was no different – even though I was working on Wall Street and co-managing portfolios worth several billion dollars.

In fact, I was so busy working and raising a family that when I finally did get started investing, I hired investment managers who churned my account (bought and sold securities excessively to generate fees). When I finally wisened up to what was going on and took back control of my money, I followed a hot tip that led to a quick and painful financial loss! Ouch!

Nobody needs to figure out investing the hard way! I want to short cut the learning curve for you.

Investing doesn’t need to be complicated and you don’t need a ton of money to get started. If you can start with a thousand dollars or more, that’s wonderful. If you commit to investing just a few dollars a week that’s good too. The important step is to get started! The rest will fall into place over time.

Debbie gives the tools and knowledge to anyone (with a small or large amount of money) wanting to jump into the investment world!
